The plane crashed and submerged in water off the coast of Dorset. The incident has meant that a series of planned flying displays at Bournemouth Air Festival have been suspended until further notice.
Images from the scene show emergency service crews rushing to the aid of the plane which began to submerge in the water.
Witnesses at the scene claimed crew aboard the aircraft were safe.
One tweeted: “Came down right in front of us. Glad to see the crew were rescued ok.”
While another said: “Pilot and wing walker uninjured . Plane landed in sea and sank very fast. Great news everyone safe.
