Philadelphia police are searching for a woman who fired gunshots at a family of three on Thursday evening, saying, “F— your baby, b—-!” to the child’s terrified mother.
The shooting occurred shortly before 6 p.m. in Philadelphia’s Holmesburg neighborhood as the father, mother and baby boy were standing on a sidewalk, as seen in video released by the Philadelphia Police Department.
The 7-month-old was struck in the leg and rushed to the hospital by a neighbor, according to police. He has since been listed in stable condition.
Cops are currently searching for a “heavy-set black female with long dreadlocks” wearing a black sweatshirt, light blue jeans and black shoes.
The shooting was filmed by a surveillance camera that recorded the suspect firing three bullets and then fleeing on foot.
It’s not clear if the shooter and the child’s parents were known to one another. The suspect seemed to be aiming for the couple when a stray bullet hit the baby.
The baby’s parents were nowhere to be found when police arrived to the scene, NBC News in Philadelphia reported.
The unidentified pair was located a few blocks away about an hour later.
ABC News said the parents and the baby don’t live in the neighborhood where the violence unfolded.
