Oprah, 67, has a TV network, OWN, as well as a magazine bearing her name, but most of her wealth comes from her years as the most famous talk show host in America. She also has a long list of acting credits, including an Oscar nominated turn in The Colour Purple.
Oprah owns a host of lavish homes, with her most used property a hop-skip-and-a-jump away from Harry and Meghan in California.
The 23,000 foot Montecito complex was purchased in 2001 for $50million.
Writing in O Magazine in 2013, she said:”I knew my house was impressive.
“I mean, just about every guest I ever invited for dinner told me so as they perched on the edge of the opulent sofa, trying not to get fingerprints on anything. I owned a stately home and I poured my heart and soul into making it perfect.”
Winfrey also owns a $8.275million home on Orcas Island, Washington, a £29million farm in California, Jeff Bridges’ $50million former home in California, a $14million mansion in Telluride, Colorado, and a farmhouse in Maui, Hawaii.
While Oprah is worth billions, Meghan and Harry, who will sit down with her for a once-in-a-lifetime interview tonight, are also hugely wealthy by anyone’s standards.
Much of Meghan’s net worth comes from her career as a successful actress.
She was known for playing Rachel Zane in the US show Suits, for which she was reportedly paid a salary of £300,000.
She starred in more than 100 episodes and seven seasons.
Meghan also had smaller acting roles in popular shows like 90210, and was paid £149,000 for appearing in the film Remember Me according to Know Net Worth.
According to Business Insider, Meghan had an estimated net worth of £3.8million before marrying Prince Harry. However it is estimated that the couple have a combined net worth of £23million.
While it has never been disclosed how much Prince Harry received in inheritance from his mother, it is believed to be worth £10million.
The fund was put in place for both Prince Harry and his brother Prince William to inherit when they each reached their 30th birthdays.
Harry is also said to have an allowance from Prince Charles as well as being paid for serving in the Air Force.
The couple added to their net worth by signing a deal with Netflix which was thought to be worth a fortune.
They also signed up to a deal with Spotify to produce and host their own podcasts through their production company, Archewell Audio, although they have only released one episode to date.
