Olly Murs weight loss: How did the singer get into shape and lose up to 2 stone?

0

Olly Murs will appear tonight on ITV’s The Voice UK, alongside fellow judges Anne-Marie, Will.i.a.m, and Sir Tom Jones. Olly always looks great on the show, reminding viewers of his recent weight transformation.

“The pic on the left was 2nd January! I was like ‘f*** me I look massive’,” the singer added.

“Weight was doing me no favours, grumpy, no energy, sleeping was awful so I made some adjustments and I’m actually buzzing now I’m off to get a McDonald’s.”

Since he couldn’t go to the gym, Olly began doing home workouts with his girlfriend Amelia Tank, who is a bodybuilder.

Olly frequently posted images and videos of the pair doing exercise together in their home.

DON’T MISS:

Personal trainer Rob Solly also helped Olly get into shape.

He designed a home workout for Olly that contained “four key components” – muscle mass, explosive power, mobility, and reaction.

Doing press ups is a big part of Olly’s fitness regime and he recently posted a video of himself doing them on his Instagram.

To make press ups more fun, he tries out different variations, such as jumping off his hands and feet and changing direction between each press up, or doing press ups off a bench and clapping between each one.

As for his diet, Olly has previously opened up about having a seven-day juice cleanse.

Underneath a video he posted last year, the singer wrote: “What an experience @juicemasterretreats. Firstly, I want to say… @jasonvale has not asked me to do this, I wanted to post this!

“This week was truly incredible, we arrived Saturday at this retreat and had no idea what to expect but wow did it deliver,” he added.

“Surrounded by people all here on a journey ready to Juice cleanse and detox the body for seven days! Sounds crazy having no food for seven days but wow just wow! I feel amazing.”
