Oleksandr Usyk’s manager blames Tyson Fury for the collapse of a sensational undisputed heavyweight clash as he hits back at the Gypsy King’s ‘cheap yelling and talking’ after Brit called the Ukrainian ‘a p****’

  • Oleksandr Usyk’s manager Egis Klimas hits back at Tyson Fury for his comments
  • The Gypsy King labelled Ukrainian Usyk ‘a p****’ for not wanting to fight him
  • Fury had been linked with a unification bout with Oleksandr Usyk this year
  • Anthony Joshua was offered a £67m step-aside deal to allow Fury to fight Usyk

Oleksandr Usyk’s manager Egis Klimas has lashed out at Tyson Fury claiming the Gypsy King was at fault for the undisputed heavyweight fight falling through in response to his video calling the Ukrainian a ‘p****’.

WBC champion Fury has announced he will fight mandatory challenger Dillian Whyte, suggesting fellow Brit Anthony Joshua has rejected the chance to step aside from his rematch with Usyk.

Usyk has been expected to fight Joshua for the second time since outpointing the Brit last September to win the unified heavyweight titles at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

There has however been plenty of talk surrounding Usyk and Fury trying to sort a deal out to fight in Saudi Arabia to crown an undisputed heavyweight champion.

Klimas has since publicly blamed Fury for the fight falling through in retaliation, while the Gypsy King continues to blame Anthony Joshua for reportedly rejecting a step aside deal.

Klimas posted on Twitter: ‘Yo man before next time you will mention Oleksandr Usyk.

‘Name check with your team, management, advisers, promoters who agreed with all terms and conditions looks like you are the one who is holding this wagon yelling and talking is cheap.’

Joshua was reportedly offered £15million – and Whyte offered £5m – to step aside and cancel his rematch with WBA, WBO, IBF and IBO king Oleksandr Usyk, allowing Fury to fight the Ukrainian in an undisputed clash, while AJ would get the first crack at the winner.

Fury hinted that Joshua had rejected the step-aside offer on Wednesday by mocking him and promoter Eddie Hearn in a video, stating the pair had ‘lost $90million in a day’.

The two-time heavyweight champion said: ‘Anthony Joshua’s a coward, Oleksandr Usyk’s a p**** and Dillian Whyte don’t wanna fight… Either fight or do one, you pack of wet lettuces.’

Fury all but confirmed his clash with Whyte by promising to ‘annihilate’ his rival.

‘I can’t wait to punch Dillian Whyte’s face right in. I’m going to give him the best hiding he’s ever had in his life. Train hard sucker because you’re getting annihilated, bum,’ he said in a video on social media.

Fury’s title defence against Whyte – who has been waiting for his shot for over four years – will likely take place in Manchester or Cardiff.

Usyk and Joshua are set to have a rematch in April with the venue yet to be confirmed. Joshua fired back at claims he will step aside for Fury to fight Usyk earlier this week – and said he’s still ‘in control’.
