The former US President was due to be inaugurated when Mr Obama’s guests purportedly left notes in the White House. Comedian Dave Chappelle said the messages, dubbed “dirty notes,” were “all over” the executive residence.
Mr Chapppelle recounted laughing upon hearing news reports regarding the messages, which purportedly predicted that Mr Trump would “fail”.
Speaking in a YouTube podcast with model Naomi Campbell, Mr Chappelle said: “Remember when the Trump administration moved in they said, ‘the Obama staff left dirty notes for us’.”
He added: “I saw this happening. I’m not going to say who did it, but it was celebrities writing all this crazy sh*t and putting them all over there.
“And I saw them doing it so when I saw that on the news I laughed real hard.
“It was one of the last big parties the Obamas threw and I’m not gonna say those celebrities’ names.”
Following his White House stint, Mr Trump left the White House on January 20 alongside his family and has since been spotted at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida.
Lately, the former president has seen himself at the centre of speculation regarding his next professional steps.
He hinted at a potential run in the 2024 Presidential election and said he “might decide to beat them again” in his first appearance since leaving office during the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC).
In the meantime, the 45th US President has set up a contact form in his website, 45office.com, that fans can use to book him and Mrs Trump for events.
