HARRY KANE opened his Premier League account for the season as Tottenham were the party poopers in a 3-2 win at Newcastle.
There was an electric atmosphere inside St. James Park as the new owners were unveiled to the crowd, and the Magpies got off to a perfect start as Callum Wilson scored after two minutes.
But Nuno Espirito’s Santo’s side reacted well with Tanguy Ndombele firing in an equaliser 15 minutes later.
Harry Kane then lobbed Karl Darlow for his first league goal of the campaign to put Spurs ahead.
The match was then suspended for more than 20 minutes while a Newcastle fan received medical treatment in the stands.
After the restart Kane turned assist-maker when his low cross was tapped in by Son-Heung Min just before half-time.
Spurs cruised after that point with Jonjo Shelvey getting sent off – until Eric Dier headed a Newcastle free-kick into his own net despite being under no pressure from an attacker.
