EDDIE HOWE’S first match at home in the St James’ Park dugout saw Newcastle take a dramatic point against fellow strugglers Norwich.

The Magpies spent more than 80 MINUTES of the crucial Premier League encounter down to ten men.

Toon defender Kieran Clark was sent off for a rash tackle on Canaries forward Teemu Pukki after just nine minutes.

The hosts held on until half-time with relatively little drama for the rest of the first-half.

But the game lit up after the break and Newcastle took the lead thanks to a Callum Wilson penalty.

The top flight’s bottom side could not cling on though as Pukki proved to be a menace to them once again late on.

The Norwich dangerman latched onto a brilliantly lofted cross by Dimitris Giannoulis to nab a point for the visitors as the game ticked into its final minutes.
