GoCompare analysed 50 social media stars famous for showing off their homes and calculated their potential earnings. The comparison site estimated Sophie Hinchliffe, otherwise known as Mrs Hinch, can earn £17,200 for just a single Instagram post and £181 for each 30-60 second clip on TikTok. It makes her estimated annual income more than £1 million.
Mrs Hinch’s light-hearted cleaning videos rocketed her to stardom in a matter of months and she now has more than 4 million followers across Instagram, TikTok and YouTube.
At peak popularity, Mrs Hinch was responsible for cleaning products selling out including Zoflora disinfectant and Astonish mould spray. Dubbed the ‘Mrs Hinch effect’, any time she mentioned a product in one of her posts, fans would rush to stock up on her latest must-haves.
Just pipping Mrs Hinch to the post to be the richest homefluencer in the world was Marie Kondo. The home organisation expert based in Los Angeles can expect to earn £1.11 million a year from Instagram and YouTube.

Kim Kardashian’s LA home is one of the most searched celebrity properties, receiving over 21,000 online searches a year. The researchers outlined if only 20 percent of her 209 million Instagram followers were to follow a home account set up by her, she could earn an extra £10 million a year.
Love Island’s Molly-Mae Hague could earn an extra £267,600 a year if she set up a home account and Stacey Solomon could make an estimated £212,169 from an Instagram account alone.
