Men facing 3 years in prison after sneaking Taylor Swift fans into Singapore show

Scamming Taylor Swift fans have found themselves amid a criminal investigation after allegedly sneaking other fans into the star’s highly coveted concert in Singapore on Monday.

According to the Singapore Police Force, three men between the ages of 29 and 45 were nabbed for a scheme in which they facilitated “the unauthorized entry for the group of four individuals who was not in possession of legitimate concert tickets.”

Two of those men were charged Wednesday with cheating and now face “imprisonment of up to three years, a fine, or both,” police said.

They were ordered to be held in custody pending further investigation and are scheduled to appear in court next week, according to local media outlet Channel News Asia.

The fans who allegedly snuck into the event at Singapore Sports Hub — two men and two women between the ages of 21 and 25 — are currently being investigated for criminal trespass, police said.

One of those men has been identified as Chinese influencer Yang Junhao, who claimed on social media not to have known that his 12,000 yuan ($1,700) ticket was fake, according to the BBC.

Singapore is in only stop in Southeast Asia on Swift’s blockbuster world tour. Tickets for the shows sold out months ago, and roughly 70% of attendees are estimated to be trekking to Singapore from abroad.

The two men charged were identified by CNA as Chinese nationals. One is alleged to have distracted security staffers, while the other held a turnstile to let the three people into the venue.
