Matt left in March 2020, after fronting the show for nine years.
As he announced the shocking news to viewers the year before, he explained the program was a massive part of his life and that he’s “loved every second of being a part of it”.
“It’s time to give somebody else the opportunity to see how big-hearted and generous you, our One Show viewers, really are,” he said on the show.
“It’s something I get to witness every year when you help to change the lives of so many vulnerable youngsters with the Rickshaw Challenge for Children in Need.
