Martin Brundle releases statement after Brian May apologises for British GP snub

Martin Brundle has explained that he is the one who ‘should be apologising’ after Sir Brian May expressed his regret over turning down an interview with the Sky Sports F1 broadcaster at the British Grand Prix.

May was standing near the Mercedes of Lewis Hamilton on the grid when Brundle approached him for the interview. On two occasions the broadcaster was turned down.

The legendary Queen guitarist explained to Brundle that he did not know enough about the sport to offer a worthwhile conversation for the Sky Sports F1 pundit, opting not to converse with the 65-year-old.
