Man United youngster Amad Diallo 'is headed for January loan' with 'many clubs interested'

Man United youngster Amad Diallo ‘is headed for January loan’ after making only one first-team appearance this season with ‘many clubs already approaching the club with interest’

  • Manchester United signed Amad Diallo last January from Atalanta in £37m deal
  • The 19-year-old has not made an appearance in the Premier League this season
  • The Red Devils want to send him out on loan to get more first-team experience

Manchester United youngster Amad Diallo is headed for a loan in January with several European sides interested, according to reports.

The 19-year-old has not played a single minute of Premier League action this season but featured in Ralf Rangnick’s side against Young Boys on Wednesday.

The winger started in the Champions League dead rubber as United were held to a 1-1 draw in their final group stage game.

Diallo has been earmarked for a loan move all season as United are keen for him to get more first-team experience after signing him in a £37m deal from Atalanta last January.

The teenager is said to be ‘excited’ by the prospect and several European clubs are reported to be interested.

Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano reported, via The Sun: ‘Many clubs have already approached Man United to negotiate for Amad Diallo loan in January. Feyenoord want him since last summer. #MUFC’

United are keen for the Ivory Coast international to get regular first-team experience

Feyenoord were said to be interested in summer and remain keen to bring Diallo to the Eredivisie.

Atalanta, where he made just five appearances, are rumoured to want to bring the starlet back on loan, while Crystal Palace could provide him with the option to stay in the Premier League.

Diallo is seen as a potential asset by United thanks to his lightening pace and ability on the ball but his lack of first-team experience is holding him back.

The forward has only played nine games for United since arriving but is under contract at Old Trafford until 2025 and the Red Devils could hope a spell out on loan will develop him into a regular member of the first-team squad.
