But there had been fears about the health of the Penn State powerhouse defender.
The pass rusher missed the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis, Indiana in February.
He had a stress fracture in his right foot which left teams worried about using a high pick on him.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Carter has been back to Indy for a recheck on his injury.
And it shows that his foot is healing and no surgery is needed.
His agent Drew Rosenhaus said, “It should be a non-factor with the teams at this point.”
Carter was faced with two options when the initial diagnosis was confirmed.
Surgery would’ve required a screw being inserted into the foot.
And he could have been up and running again in approximately eight weeks.
But Carter is confident his foot is healing and he doesn’t need an operation.
The 21-year-old was thought of as a possible No. 1 overall pick by the Tennessee Titans.
He is expected to be taken in the top three, even if not with the first pick.
Tennessee has also shown an interest in quarterback Cam Ward with the No. 1 pick.
Two-way Colorado Buffaloes star Travis Hunter is also a potential top-three selection.
The Cleveland Browns hold the No. 2 pick with the New York Giants third.

The New England Patriots are sat at No. 4 and would have a keen interest in Carter if he falls to them.
Carter will visit the Patriots this weekend, according to NBC’s Pro Football Talk.
It will be the fourth team visit he has made before the draft.
The 21-year-old has already met with the teams holding the top three selections.
The NFL Draft takes place from April 24 to 26 in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
