She told fans: “So I finally bit the bullet! I’ve been thinking of having my eyebrows tattooed for a while and yesterday I did it!

“Well I didn’t do it….my friend, the very professional and very lovely Naomi, owner of The Little Parlour did it!”

Tagging in the Weybridge salon she shared a video before having the procedure saying: “That’s my natural eyebrow, quite fine and quite pale.”

The expert then explained how she was going to go under the hairs of Ruth’s eyebrows with a tattoo gun.

She then showed off the results an hour later, saying: “Ta-da. Here are my new eyebrows.

“Love the shape but let’s just discuss though they do look quite dark. They won’t be this dark will they?”

Naomi reassured her that they would be at least 40 per cent lighter in four weeks.

Ruth added: “They feel a little bit sore but it’s fine really. It wasn’t painful” calling the procedure “a bit scratchy”.

She returned two days later saying: “As you can see the red has gone down quite a lot.

“But I’m really happy with the shape and I’m doing the cleaning so all the maintenance. I’ll keep you updated. There you go – semi-permanent eyebrows.”

Many of Ruth’s celebrity pals praised the new look with This Morning agony aunt Vanessa Feltz writing: “Glamorous!! Xx.”

Lizzie Cundy added: “Oh wow !! Wait till you see me !! ?.”
