London bloodbath: Two men stabbed in deadly Hounslow attack – police launch murder hunt

The Metropolitan Police were called at around 3am this morning to an incident in Granville Avenue, in Hounslow. Officers found two men suffering stab injuries and have appealed for information.

One of the men, in his 20s, was treated at the scene by officers and paramedics but died of his injuries.

In a statement, the Met Police said: “Officers believe they know his identity, but await formal identification.

“They are in the process of informing the man’s family.”

A second man, also in his 20s, was taken to hospital.

According to the Met Police statement, his injuries were assessed and he has since been discharged from hospital.

There has yet to be any arrests in connection to the fatal stabbing and enquiries are ongoing.

This incident is the latest in a string of bloody stabbings across the capital as Mayor of London Sadiq Khan faces increased pressure to tackle knife crime.

Last week, in a separate incident, a man was rushed to hospital with stab injuries after police and paramedics attended the incident in Pimlico.

And at the start of March, a teenager was found with injuries and taken to hospital after reports of a stabbing.

This was also unconnected to the other events.

The victim was “found lying on the ground bleeding heavily” close to a Primark store on Kilburn High Road, Kilburn near the junction with Brondesbury Villas, according to social media reports.

Following the stabbing in Pimlico, Mr Khan was attacked by rival Mayoral candidate Brian Rose who branded the Mayor “apathetic” in the wake of a string of knife attacks.

Mr Rose also attacked Prime Minister – and former Mayor – Boris Johnson and branded him a “coward”

He said: “Will politicians finally start to pay attention now that London’s spate of stabbings have spread to the outskirts of Westminster?

“Londoners have been abandoned by both their apathetic Mayor and cowardly Prime Minister.”

He continued: “This is what happens when politicians are more concerned about statues than stabbings.

“Despite a spate of attacks in and around the city, and outrage over the lack of safety on the capital’s streets, Sadiq Khan’s most high-profile intervention has been to set up a commission to examine statues – and the Government has proposed jailing people for up to ten years for damaging monuments.

“This is the second stabbing in Pimlico alone in recent weeks – if our politicians have abandoned leafy Pimlico, just down the road from Parliament, then they have abandoned the whole city.”
