Jakub Ojrzynski and Liam Hughes are among the Liverpool first-team squad at Sheffield United with Alisson and Caoimhin Kelleher both absent.
Hughes, signed from Celtic in January, only played for the club’s under-23s in their 4-0 defeat of Arsenal on Saturday.
Kelleher is absent with a knock while Alisson is grieving the tragic death of his father earlier this week.
The Brazilian goalkeeper was unable to return home to attend a private ceremony as his father was laid to rest at the weekend.
Jose Agostinho Becker passed away at the age of 57 after drowning in a lake near his holiday home in southern Brazil.
The absences of Alisson and Kelleher mean Adrian will start in between the sticks against the bottom-of-the-table Blades.
The Spaniard returns to make his first Premier League appearance since October 17.
Northern Ireland under-21 Hughes, 19, only joined from Celtic last month and has been hailed by former Irish League manager Rodney McAree, who worked with the teenager at Dungannon Swifts.
McAree said: “It’s a massive opportunity for Liam and I’m delighted for him.
“It would be great to see him progress there. It’s an unbelievable move for Liam and I know he’ll do everything to make the most of it because he’s got a great attitude.
“He always wants to work hard at his game and he is a great character. He has a good family behind him and it’s fantastic to see him earn a move to a club like Liverpool.”
