Lidl is a discount supermarket that has become increasingly popular in recent years. With the launch of their app last year, customers can make even further savings including exclusive coupons each week as well as a new feature that has landed on the app.
How can you sign up to the app?
It’s simple, the app is available on the App Store as well as the Google Play store.
Then customers can follow the on-screen instructions and register their details to start saving money.
For new customers, there is a £5 off coupon to be redeemed when spending £25 or more in one transaction.
Lidl says that shoppers have a one in five chance of winning with every purchase they make.
Once a coupon is won, customers have one week to spend it before it runs out.
Speaking at the time of the launch, Christian Härtnagel, chief executive at Lidl GB, said: “Our customers know that we offer the best quality products at market leading prices.
“We’ve designed Lidl Plus so we can provide an even better, tailored, shopping experience for our customers, as well as to thank them for their loyalty.”
In other supermarket news, the discount retailer was recently announced as the cheapest UK supermarket along with Aldi.
On average, shoppers last month would have paid £18.45 at both Aldi and Lidl for 19 essential grocery products, according to Which?.
Included in the shopping list was food items like semi-skimmed milk, free-range eggs and Hovis wholemeal bread.
In third place, just £1.58 more expensive than the discounters was Asda, where customers would have paid £20.03.
This was followed by Tesco, Sainsbury’s and Ocado with Waitrose being the most expensive place for shoppers to shop last month.
