Former Trump adviser Kimberly Guilfoyle spent nine long hours yesterday being questioned by members of the House panel investigating the January 6, 2021 attack on the US Capitol,
The 53-year-old, who is engaged to Donald Trump Jr., was seen entering the O’Neill House Office Building near Capitol Hill before 10am Monday for her deposition with investigators.
She left the building at &:30 p.m. with her attorney and had to shield herself against the DC rain.
‘Kimberly answered all of the questions asked of her,’ an insider told DailyMail.com.
‘She was professional and to the point for the almost nine hours she was in the room and appeared to take the day very seriously. It never became contentious while she answered the investigators’ questions.’

Guilfoyle left the building at 7:30 p.m. with her attorney and had to shield herself against the DC rain.
In the morning, dressed in a navy blue peplum dress and studded stiletto Valentino heels, Guilfoyle – flanked by her legal team – smiled at cameras but declined to speak when approached for comment by DailyMail.com.
The former Fox News host, who worked on President Trump’s 2020 presidential campaign, was subpoenaed by the congressional committee last month, days after her initial meeting with the panel went awry.
Guilfoyle had initially agreed to speak to the committee on a virtual call in February but abruptly ended the interview after realizing Democratic lawmakers were on the call.
Her attorney issued a statement afterward saying Guilfoyle had agreed to meet only with attorneys for the Democratic-led House committee, not with members of Congress.

‘Guilfoyle, under threat of subpoena, agreed to meet exclusively with counsel for the Select Committee in a good faith effort to provide true and relevant evidence,’ the statement said.
‘However, upon Guilfoyle’s attendance, the committee revealed its untrustworthiness, as members notorious for leaking information appeared.’
The statement, in the name of lawyer Joseph Tacopina, said the hearing had been ‘hijacked.’
‘It is now abundantly clear to us that their only real interest was to sandbag our client and use today’s interview as a political weapon against President Trump and those who support him,’ the statement said.

As a result, the committee said it would issue a subpoena to compel Guilfoyle’s cooperation and had asked her to appear for a deposition on March 15.
The committee received a number of documents it had requested from Guilfoyle but is now looking to learn more about her meetings with the former president and members of his family in the Oval Office the morning of the attack.
A letter to Guilfoyle said she must sit for a deposition originally scheduled for March 15 and deliver requested documents to the committee by March 11.
‘Guilfoyle met with Donald Trump inside the White House, spoke at the rally that took place before the riot on January 6th, and apparently played a key role organizing and raising funds for that event,’ January 6 Committee Chairman Bennie Thompson said at the time.
‘She also apparently communicated with others about the decision by the then-President about who was and was not allowed to speak at the Ellipse rally, including concerns raised about him sharing the stage with individuals including Ali Alexander, Alex Jones, and Roger Stone,’ a tweet from the committee announcing the subpoena said.
Guilfoyle was among the speakers who addressed a group of Trump supporters at a Stop the Steal rally shortly before the crowd stormed the US Capitol building on January 6, 2021.
The nine-member panel is looking to talk to Guilfoyle because she was one of a few in Trump’s orbit who spoke to the crowd at the rally held on the White House Ellipse on January 6

The song is consistently played at Trump rallies and events.
Last November, text messages revealed Guilfoyle was apparently miffed that she wasn’t going to get speaking time at the rally, boasting that she’d raised $3million for the raucous event, ProPublica reported at the time.
Guilfoyle, in an exchange with Katrina Pierson, the White House liaison for the rally, said she ‘raised so much money for this’ and also requested to introduce Trump Jr. at the event.
The former Fox News host and ex-wife of Gavin Newsom also specifically demanded Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, who had sued to overturn election results in four states, be granted speaking time.
Touting her fundraising numbers, Guilfoyle wrote: ‘Literally one of my donors Julie at 3 million’- referring to the donation from Publix supermarket heir Julie Jenkins Fancelli.

Tacopina said the message had been ‘taken out of context’ and the text ‘did not relate to the Save America rally.’ He said the ‘content of the message itself’ was ‘inaccurate.’
Guilfoyle did end up speaking on stage before her boyfriend, telling the crowd on January 6: ‘We will not allow the liberals and the Democrats to steal our dream or steal our elections.’
The Select Committee has so far interviewed more than 560 witnesses and issued more than 80 subpoenas as it probes the causes of the attack and the role played by Trump, who continues to push false claims that his election defeat by Biden was the result of fraud.
