Katie Boulter took to social media to address any speculation about a potential engagement with Alex De Minaur. The tennis stars are celebrating the fourth anniversary of their relationship and Boulter shared a snap to celebrate with something noticeable on her ring finger.
Boulter and De Minaur are both competing at the Miami Open this fortnight, and they’ll have to juggle the tournament with a date night after celebrating their anniversary while in the city. The WTA No. 30 and the ATP No. 10 have officially been together for four years and they marked the occasion with a joint Instagram post.
The British tennis star and the 25-year-old were pictured staring adoringly at each other, with De Minaur dressed in a dapper blue shirt and Boulter wearing a black dress. But something else caught their followers’ eyes when it came to Boulter’s outfit.
The recent San Diego champion had two rings on her left hand – one on the middle finger and one on the left finger. But she quickly put an end to any ideas that it meant she was engaged. “4 years with you,” Boulter wrote in the caption.
Using a laughing emoji, she added: “(calm down not engaged just the only finger that ring fits.” While they aren’t engaged, Boulter and De Minaur have had something to celebrate involving silverware recently.
The tennis power couple both picked up titles on the same weekend at the beginning of the month. De Minaur successfully defended his Acapulco crown on March 3, defeating Casper Ruud in the final. And he hot-footed it to California, where Boulter was contesting a final of her own.
The 25-year-old was on a plane by 6am the next morning and arrived in time to watch the British No. 1 lift her second career trophy and her first at WTA 500 level in San Diego. And Boulter made sure to thank her boyfriend for his mad dash to watch her play.
