The First Lady and US President had been attending business in California on April Fool’s Day. As journalists on the Washington-bound flight waited for a meal, Mrs Biden pulled the practical joke.
She posed as a flight attendant – wearing an airline costume and dark wig -called “Jasmine”, who passed out ice cream bars.
Later on, Jill ‘Jasmine’ Biden whipped the wig off and revealed her true identity.
Media staff and the First Lady’s aides were fooled by the disguise.
The prank followed Mr and Mrs Biden’s visit to a vaccination centre in California.

Emily Goodin, MailOnline journalist, shared Mrs Biden’s prank on those aboard.
She said: “The pool [of reporters] was indeed totally fooled but takes comfort in the fact that none of FLOTUS’ staff recognised Dr. Biden in disguise either.
“The pool laughed. FLOTUS, laughing and visibly pleased with her prank, returned to her cabin.”
Ms Goodin also wrote: “The ice cream bars – vanilla with a hard chocolate coating – were delicious.”
The First Lady is well known for her love of pranks, recounting a series of jokes she pulled on her husband in her memoir.
When Mr Biden served as Vice President, Mrs Biden once hid in an overhead bin in Air Force Two.
The Associated Press reported someone discovered the then-Second Lady, and scared them.
Mrs Biden also said of her practical jokes: “I’ve always believed you’ve got to steal the joyful moments when you can.”
Natalie Biden, her granddaughter, said during last year’s Democratic National Convention Mrs Biden is “not your average grandmother”.
She said: “She’s a prankster, she’s very mischievous.
“When she goes on a run, sometimes she’ll find like a dead snake and she’ll pick it up and put it in a bag and she’ll use it to scare someone.”
Mr Biden also shared April Fools’ Day is “like a tradition” for his wife’s family and he wakes up every April 1 worrying “what in the hell is Jill going to do this time?”
“I feel so stupid,” he said of the day.
