End of an era as Daniel Andrews’ ‘sex symbol’ Covid commander QUITS after Victoria scrapped its mask and vaccine mandate rules
Victoria’s long-time Covid Commander Jeroen Weimar has quit his post as Premier Daniel Andrews winds back the state’s pandemic measures.
Mr Weimar will leave his role at the end of April, the Herald-Sun reported on Thursday afternoon.
Staff at the state’s Department of Health were briefed about the changes in an email.
Mr Weimar has been in the role since July 2020, after the state’s hotel quarantine debacle.
