Sky News presenter Jacquie Beltrao, 55, has announced that she feels “crushed and sad” in a Twitter update this morning as she returned back to work in the studio. Yesterday, the mum-of-three said she had suffered “a bad week” after being given devastating news about her breast cancer diagnosis.
In a candid tweet, the star admitted to feeling down after sharing the news that scans had revealed her cancer has spread to her bones.
The Sky broadcaster admitted that going to work this morning helped to cheer her up as she stunned in a pair of skinny black trousers and a black and white polka dot shirt.
Taking to social media, she wrote: “I’m crushed and sad – no question but work has cheered me up a bit this morning.”
She went on to tag her colleagues Stephen Dixon, Nazaneen Ghaffar and Gillian Joseph, before revealing that the latter hasn’t seen Line of Duty.

“All of the cancer that was being a bit more quiet has flared up raring to go for a picnic in a few places. So now I’ve got it in my bones where I didn’t have it before.
“That smart drug I was on was not so smart for me. It’s really scary. It’s awful actually.”
She continued: “I’m going onto a new clever drug – well hopefully it’s clever – next week.
“I’m going to have to dig into that bag of gears and keep going forward and believing that there is something out there for me.
