Jack Draper hit top gear to win his first ATP Tour title and a £19,000 ebike to embarrass the bungling Boss sponsors who thought he would lose the final.
The new British No.1 fought back to beat two-time champion Matteo Berrettini 3-6 7-6 6-4 in the final of the Boss Open in Stuttgart.
As well as the £95,000 first prize, Draper was also presented with a hybrid e-bike by the sponsors.
But the e-bike was in the khaki colours of the Italian – a Boss ambassador.
And Hugo Boss chief executive Daniel Grieder said: “This is the Novus bike. We have a collaboration with them. It’s the future. Its like what e-cars were. This is the future bike. This is fast as a big motorcycle but is as light as an e-bike.
“Unfortunately this bike is for the winner. I covered it in the wrong colours, Matteo. It was actually for you! So, we have to do a second bike in the colours of Jack. You will both get a bike in your colours.”
