Coronavirus cases in India have seen an increase in recent weeks, leading states to issue warnings to those planning on celebrating Holi publicly.
On Wednesday, India recorded 47,262 new Covid cases, which brings the nationwide total to 11,734,058.
The central government has advised states and union territories (UTs) to restrict celebrations ahead of Holi this weekend.
A select few are allowing people to travel for Holi, however are subjecting travellers to testing upon arrival.
Many areas have banned gatherings and celebrations, with residents told to celebrate privately instead.
