Season three ended with three of the Duttons in big trouble as it looks like the family is being targeted.
John Dutton (played by Kevin Costner) was shot but his phone may have been his saviour as the bullet struck his device which had been in his shirt pocket.
Meanwhile, his son Kayce Dutton (Luke Grimes) had to deal with a group of masked gunmen storming into his office but fans haven’t been as concerned about his welfare since he’s a former Navy SEAL.
However, there are some who are worried about the feisty Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly) as a bomb exploded in her office, causing her glass walls to shatter.

But a clue that filming could start up again next year has been given via those at the Chief Joseph Ranch, where Yellowstone is primarily filmed.
The website says that the filming schedule for 2022 is “not available at this time”, hinting at the fact there are plans for another series after season four.
Location manager Mark Jarrett also told NY Post “we locked in use of the house for five seasons”, so the ranch would be readily available if Yellowstone was to return for another series.
Therefore, there is at least the intention for more seasons of Yellowstone.
