Urgent alert raised for a little boy police fear is at ‘significant risk’ after being taken from a home by a man in a grey Mazda – before he is found safe and well

  • Amber alert issued for 11-month-old boy taken from Southport, Gold Coast home
  • Man seen taking boy from Como Crescent about 5.15pm on Saturday afternoon
  • Boy is described as Caucasian with dark hair and wearing a light grey jumpsuit
  • Queensland Police said later on Saturday the boy had been found ‘safe and well’


An 11-month-old boy who police said was at ‘significant risk’ after being taken from a home on Saturday afternoon has been found safe and well.

Police said a man was seen taking the boy from a home on Como Crescent at Southport on the Gold Coast about 5.15pm and putting him into a grey Mazda CX9.

A woman was allegedly assaulted at the address.

Queensland Police said later on Saturday night the boy had been found and was ‘safe and well’. 

Before his discovery, the boy was described as Caucasian with dark hair and wearing a light grey jumpsuit. 

Police said the man’s appearance is that of a Pacific Islander and he is 180cm tall and of a solid build.

He was last seen wearing grey shorts and a yellow Los Angeles Lakers singlet. 

The car is a grey Mazda CX9 with Queensland registration 103 YZT and last seen heading westbound on Smith Street near Kumbari Avenue around 5.30pm.

Queensland police issue an amber alert when the public is called on to help in the search for, location of and the safe recovery of a high risk missing child.
