Former Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees outfielder Johnny Damon was arrested Friday morning in Florida and charged with resisting an officer without violence after he was pulled over on suspicion of driving under the influence.
Damon, 47, was booked Friday morning into Orange County Jail, per Orange County Incarcerations records after the incident in Windermere, a suburb of Orlando. Jail records show that his wife, Michelle Mangan-Damon, was also arrested.
Damon, who grew up in Orlando and played high school baseball at Dr. Phillips High School, played 18 seasons in MLB for seven different teams: Boston and New York, the Royals, Rays, Cleveland, the Tigers and the Athletics.
He was a two-time All-Star and a two-time World Series champion, winning a title with the Red Sox and the Yankees.
