ON the hunt for some stylish new pyjamas for spring – well, did you know you can pick some up along with your milk and eggs?

Sainsbury’s Tu range has wowed fashion fans with its incredible new collection of sleepwear.

The huge collection has a huge range of fun prints and colours, so there really is something for everyone.

Whether you want to wrap up in pyjamas with adorable rubber ducks on them, or drift off covered in adorable illustrations of breakfast food – Sainsbury’s has got you covered.

One shopper recently took to TikTok to rave about the range – but had one major complaint too.

Ellena Walker showed off some of the trendy collection in her viral video, which has amassed over 457k likes.

“Wish Sainsbury’s would f**k off with their pyjamas, I’m skint.” she wrote over the images of the matching sets.

In the clip, the fashion fan also shared other snaps of some of her favourite picks, including a silky pair with green stripes, ones with a fun orange slices print, and even a pair covered in a sweet rabbit design.

The pyjama sets, which include full-length trousers and a matching long-sleeved shirt, are priced at around £24 – but do vary slightly depending on the specific pair.

That said, shoppers can enjoy a discount right now if they buy their pyjamas online, as sets including the Green Stripe Breakfast Print Pyjama Set have been slashed in price.

Originally £24, the set is now just £19.20 on the retailer’s website – that’s a saving of £4.80.

Likewise, the Lobster Print Striped Poplin Traditional Pyjamas have also been reduced to just £19.20.

I was excited to wear my new Primark dress but hadn’t spotted a HUGE problem

“Level up your nightwear game with our grey-striped traditional pyjama set!

“Designed in a lobster and lemons print for a fun look, this set has been made from a poplin fabric for a lightweight and comfortable feel. Includes one pyjama shirt which has 3/4 sleeves, and one pair of pyjama bottoms,” the product description reads online.

But fellow TikTok users weren’t impressed after Ellena shared their original prices.

One commented on the clip: “£24 for a pair of pjs is absolutely insane, since when were they thing much?”

How to look chic on a budget

Fashion stylist Gemma Rose Breger, and beauty journalist Samantha Silver revealed how you can make your outfits elevated without spending hundreds of pounds.

  1. Don’t ever spend on designer denim: River Island ”always has such a great selection of fashion-forward jeans that follow the current trends”. The high street retailer offers a great range of sizes to fit UK 6 – UK 18, and three leg lengths – and prices start from an affordable £25.
  2. There are no rules for jewels: ”Pick up something at a car boot sale, or charity shop, scroll on Vinted & eBay, snap up something from the clothing section in your local supermarket when doing the food shop or check out high street clothing stores.”
  3. Don’t forget the pre-loved sites: With a rising number of second-hand sites, such as Vinted and Depop, there’s no excuse for not buying – or selling – pre-loved garments. Gemma, for instance, has managed to get her hands on chic Chanel sunnies for a mere £17.

“24 quid? I’ll stick to my Primark pyjamas thanks,” a second wrote.

And a third chimed in: “These pyjamas shrink so quickly, for £25 you’d think they would last longer.”

But others thought the stylish designs were worth every penny, as another commented: “I got the first pair and I’ve been living in them this week.”

“I bought the black ones yesterday and I can confirm they’re gorgeous,” someone else wrote.
