Euro 2024 final tickets skyrocket to £80,000 as England fans race to Berlin

England fans wanting to secure tickets to the Euro 2024 final in Germany, could be forced to pay more than £80,000 for the privilege.

The Three Lions booked their place in the final courtesy of a dramatic last-minute winner, scored by substitute striker Ollie Watkins, against the Netherlands on Wednesday night. They will now face a strong-looking Spain side at the Olympiastadion Berlin this Sunday (July 14).

And England fans now face a challenge as big as the one facing Gareth Southgate’s squad, if they want to bag tickets. Data from re-sale sites shows tickets are now changing hands for thousands of pounds.

The final is a historic moment for English football, as it’s the first time England has reached a major final on foreign soil. The Three Lions  re also one of just a handful of teams to have reached the final in back-to-back Euros.

However, only 71,000 football fans can watch the game at the Olympiastadion Berlin. And ticketing experts SeatPick have revealed the Euro final ticket prices according to its internal resale data.

Its data suggests that only 7,000 tickets are still available. And the average price of a ticket has now soared to £3,696.65.

A spokesperson for SeatPick said: “The cheapest tickets to the Euro 2024 final start at a whopping £1.7k, more than double the price of England’s semi-final game starting from £668.95.

“On the other end of the scale, some tickets are on sale for over £80k, equating to around £894 per minute of play-time and almost a £20k increase since England’s win against The Netherlands.”

SeatPick’s CEO, Gilad Zilberman has three pieces of advice for fans desperate for tickets. He said: “Despite the fact that UEFA sold out of all the last-minute tickets on May 2nd, you can still register to join their ticket portal in the very unlikely case further tickets become available.”

You have to create a ticketing account here to have access. If that doesn’t work, all is not lost.

Mr Zilberman said: ” If you are still unfortunate in purchasing your Euro 2024 final tickets, look into authoritative third-party resale sites such as SeatPick, where you can compare ticket sites to find the best deals on the market with no hidden fees.

“If you are unable to afford tickets at their peak prices, third-party resale sites such as SeatPick offer price drop notifications for the finals that are sent directly to your email.”

However he also urged fans to be careful and avoid being scammed. He said: “Be wary of scam sites and never allow someone to send you a screenshot of a ticket (as these are invalid), or send payment before receiving tickets.

“Remember, if something looks too good to be true, it probably is! I hope these tips are helpful for securing  Euro 2024 final tickets!”
