But City boss Guardiola, who’s club are one of those interested in signing Haaland in the upcoming transfer window, was more sympathetic.
“Maybe he’s a fan of Haaland. Maybe it was for his son or daughter,” the City boss said.
“The referees were brilliant. They were perfect. I’ve never seen it before, but the referee and the linesman were correct, they did a good job. That’s all.”
City will take their slender advantage into the second leg of the quarter-final tie, to be played next Wednesday in Dortmund.
