Car insurance expert Gunnar Peters, CEO at Veygo by Admiral said the 10 day period was not a “great deal of time” to practice ahead of tests.
Thus was more of an issue when considering some learners may not have been behind the wheel of a car for “many months” due to lockdown restrictions.
He said: “It’s great to see some clarity from the DVSA when it comes to driving lessons and test restarting after lockdown – learners have been left in the dark until now so it’s important they have dates to aim towards.
“That being said, a 10-day period between lessons restarting and driving tests beginning doesn’t leave a great deal of time for learners who may not have been behind the wheel for many months to refresh their knowledge, so road safety is a concern.”
