Driver dies after Jeep overturns following Bronx highway collision

A man was killed when his Jeep SUV collided with another vehicle and overturned on a Bronx highway early Saturday, cops said.

The unidentified driver was heading north on the Major Deegan Expressway near W. 230th St. in Kingsbridge just after 2 a.m. when he collided with a GMC heading in the same direction, cops said.

The 47-year-old man driving the GMC was not harmed and remained at the scene, cops said.

No charges were filed as the NYPD continues its investigation.

Several lanes of the northbound Major Deegan Expressway were shut down for several hours.
