Drake diss track leaked online, fans debate if it’s AI-generated

A new diss track from rapper Drake appeared to be leaked online Saturday, but many users were speculating the song was AI-generated.

The widely shared track, which spans over 4 minutes in length, seemed to take aim at a number of high-profile artists, including Future, Kendrick Lamar, The Weeknd, Rick Ross and Metro Boomin.

Early on in the song, the 37-year-old Grammy winner appears to poke fun at Lamar’s physical stature , saying, “How the f–k you been steppin’ with a size 7 men’s on?” and later referring to him as a “midget.” (Lamar is said to be around 5-foot-5.)

Drake also takes jabs at Lamar’s pop collaborations with Maroon 5 and Taylor Swift, and even makes mention of his longtime partner, Whitney, alleging Lamar has been extorted.

Elsewhere, Drake refers to The Weeknd by his first name (Abel), rapping, “Cash blowin’ Abel bread, out here trickin’ / S–t we do for b—hes, he doin’ for n—-s.”

While taking aim at Metro Boomin, a popular producer known for his beats, Drake says, “Metro, shut yo ho ass up and make some drums.”

The surprise track comes just one day after Future and Metro Boomin released their new album, “We Still Don’t Trust You,” which featured The Weeknd dropping several apparent disses aimed at Drizzy.

So while Drake’s song could be explained as a real response, many are still suspicious due to the fact that numerous AI songs copying the rappers voice have cropped up online in recent months.

“If this is actually AI then Drake has the greatest ghostwriter of all time,” wrote one user.

“Drake’s rap style is so corny and basic we don’t know if this is real or AI,” posted another.

As for Drizzy himself, he has not spoken on the issue yet but had a possibly telling image up on his Instagram Story on Saturday.

It’s a meme spoofing a popular image encouraging people to not give up on their dreams — only in this case, it highlights people trying to deliberately get “a reaction.”
