BLUE’S Antony Costa has been added to the Dancing On Ice line-up – but only as a reserve.
The former boyband singer is said to be ‘gutted and surprised’ to miss out on the main line-up after lesser known celebs were signed instead.

Antony, 40, thought he was a shoe-in for the live show but was surprisingly side-lined in favour of Paul Gascoigne’s son, Regan, Paralympian Stef Reid, and TV presenter Ria Hebden.
It is a big blow for Antony after his bandmates Duncan James, Lee Ryan and Simon Webbe have all starred on primetime hit reality shows.
His three best mates have appeared on Strictly, Celebrity Big Brother, Celebrity Master Chef and Dancing On Ice over recent years.
Antony did appear on I’m A Celebrity… way back in 2005, when he finished sixth.
But apart from a brief stint on Celebrity Wipeout in 2010, has rarely appeared on TV since.
Our telly source revealed: “Antony was really excited about skating on Dancing On Ice.

“It was a big TV comeback for him and would have been a nice money earner.
“He was a little surprised and gutted to not make the main celebrity line-up. And to be honest he wasn’t the only one.
“A few people working on the show and at ITV thought he would have been great for the show.”
They added: “Antony was one of the biggest pop stars of his day back in Blue and is a much bigger household name than a few of the others who were chosen instead of him.
“Him missing a main spot has raised a few eyebrows on Dancing On Ice.”
ITV had no comment when contacted by The Sun.
Antony is not the only high-profile name surprised not to make the starting line-up.
Former Top of the Pops presenter Jayne Middlemiss, 50, has also been made reserve despite being one of the biggest TV presenters of her era.
Jayne previously won Celebrity Love Island in 2005 and Celebrity Master Chef in 2009.
However, both names could end up making the live shows if any of the celebs get injured before the show airs in January.
Blue were one of the biggest boybands of the early noughties. Their first five years as a group saw them hit the number one spot with all three of their studio albums.
But Costa ended up going bankrupt after falling on hard times. He previously told how he was left homeless and near bankrupt after his income dropped from £250,000 a month to just £45 a week.
The boyband reformed in 2011 going on to have mort chart success. Costa has since gone on to have a successful career in acting.
