THE Dallas Cowboys have been linked with a star college running back who recently had the chance to prove his safe hands.
Dallas holds the No. 12 overall pick in next week’s NFL Draft in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

The team has hosted one of the top rushers in this year’s draft class.
TreVeyon Henderson held a visit with the Cowboys, Fox Sports’ Jordan Schultz reported.
The Ohio State star also spent time with the Cincinnati Bengals and Carolina Panthers.
Henderson was part of the Buckeyes team that won the National Championship in January.
That earned them a trip to the White House this week, where the running back proved his worth.
Vice President JD Vance fumbled the trophy at the podium and dropped the base.
Henderson was fortunately on hand to rescue the top half of the prize.
“I didn’t want anyone after Ohio State to get the trophy so I decided to break it,” Vance laughed.
Fox insider Schultz spoke to an NFL personnel director about Henderson’s talents.
“One of the most exciting players in the draft and a very clean prospect,” he said.
“Home run threat every touch who can hurt you lining up out wide.
“Very dangerous in space. Multiple Pro Bowl caliber talent.”
Ashton Jeanty is expected to be the first running back taken in Green Bay next week out of a strong class.
Omarion Hampton is also tipped to be one of the leading rushers followed by Henderson.
The Cowboys are in a rebuild after finishing last year with a 7-10 record.

The team moved on from head coach Mike McCarthy with Brian Schottenheimer taking over.
They finished a distant third in the NFC East division behind the Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Commanders.
Deuce Vaughn and Javonte Williams are the current Dallas backfield leaders.
In 2016 they used the No. 4 overall pick on Buckeyes running back Ezekiel Elliott.
Elliott was a three-time Pro Bowler and two-time NFL rushing leader during his six years with the team.
