Cristiano Ronaldo wasted no time in getting acclimatised to life back at Manchester United’s Carrington training base as he was given a guided tour by boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer – before he joined in with training ahead of making his debut.
The Portuguese forward, who has returned to United from Juventus on a two-year contract worth £385,000 a week, needed to spend five days in quarantine after arriving in the UK on Thursday.
Having taken tests on Saturday Ronaldo was able to conclude his quarantine period as part of the NHS’ test and release scheme, allowing him to join up with United.

With Solskjaer now the boss, Ronaldo was able to talk tactics inside the manager’s office
Now out from isolation he met with United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who was a team-mate during his first spell at Old Trafford, and they had a conversation in the manager’s office.
Ronaldo wasted no time in getting down to work either as he joined his team-mates for Tuesday’s training session.
He sealed his sensational switch to the Red Devils in a £19.8million move from Juventus in the summer, 12 years on from his departure for Spanish giants Real Madrid.
There is hope among supporters that Ronaldo can make his homecoming debut at Old Trafford this weekend on Saturday.
If he doesn’t get his first start back at United on Saturday then he is expected to lead the line in the Champions League next Tuesday away to Young Boys.
In a bid to get down to work at United following his sensational summer move, Ronaldo was given early release from international duty with Portugal, days after breaking Ali Daei’s international goals record.
He touched down in Manchester on Thursday along with his girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez and their children Cristiano Ronaldo Jr., 11, Alana Martina dos Santos Aveiro, 3, Eva Maria Dos Santos, 4, and Mateo Ronaldo, 4.
Ronaldo was seen enjoying the Manchester sun on Sunday while he was in isolation
Having returned back to Manchester he has moved into a stunning mansion with his family.
Photographs from inside the mansion reveal a swimming pool, gym and cinema room which Ronaldo will be able to enjoy with his young family.
It is a seven-bedroom countryside property, with a top-of-the-range fitness area, hot tub and six-strong security patrol – which allowed him to relax during his five days in quarantine before joining club training.
