New data from the Office for National Statistics (ONS) has revealed the growing toll of long Covid.
Long Covid refers to the lasting symptoms which some people experience once the COVID-19 infection has left their body and they are testing negative.
These can sometimes drag on for weeks or months with little known about the long-term impact.
Polling suggests 643,000 Brits have lasting symptom that adversely affect their day to day lives.
The most common symptoms are fatigue, breathlessness, muscle ache and difficulty concentrating.
Around 38,000 children reported having long Covid this month.
The continued problem of long Covid will place a greater strain on the NHS as we move into the colder months.
