Professor Brown thinks that the “unusual” blood clot in the brain people are concerned about won’t be linked to the vaccine.
He said: “We don’t know how often it occurs even in people not being vaccinated.
“It’s a complication of actually having acute Covid infection itself, and therefore it’s very unlikely to be linked to the vaccine.”
The professor stated the suspension of the AstraZeneca vaccine, based on the blood clot premise, “is not sensical”.
