Fans of cleaning influencer Mrs Hinch have shared their tips for cleaning barbecues. Mrs Hinch, whose full name is Sophie Hinchliffe, has over four million followers on Instagram. The cleaning expert has become so popular that fans have created their own social media groups dedicated to cleaning tips and hacks.

Another user said to use Elbow Grease and a wire brush, claiming it’s “brilliant”.

Elbow Grease is a product that’s used to remove grease and oil.

It can be used for cleaning grease from fabrics and porous materials and kitchen surfaces.

Some of the cleaning suggestions from Mrs Hinch fans were more unusual.

One suggestion included using a bath and washing powder.

The user said: “Tip from my butcher and it worked – put cheap red wine on the racks with paper towels and turn on the grill for a few minutes.

“Shut off the grill and when cool wipe clean.

“I couldn’t believe it when it worked, I’d been scrubbing for years.”

One user said to use mayonnaise on the grill part of the barbecue.

They said: “Rub mayonnaise all over grills, leave for a couple of hours and then wipe off with a hot cloth…works for me.”
