Charges dropped against ‘Jackass’ star Bam Margera after drunken Philly incident

All charges have been dropped against former “Jackass” star Bam Margera following a rowdy public intoxication incident at a suburban Philadelphia hotel last year.

Margera, 44, was arrested on Aug. 9 outside the Radnor Hotel in Wayne after the establishment wouldn’t let him book a room at 3:15 a.m. The hotel’s staff reported he looked upset but left without incident.

Police arrived while Margera was arguing with an unidentified woman.

He was charged with public intoxication and disorderly conduct. Police in the Delaware County bedroom community said he was cooperative during the interaction in the hotel parking lot.

At a bail hearing after the arrest, he was ordered to wear an alcohol-monitoring bracelet for a month, attend AA meetings and not leave southeastern Pennsylvania.

“Justice prevailed today when charges were withdrawn against Mr. Margera,” attorneys Michael van der Veen and William Brennan said in a statement. “It’s fulfilling to be able to help him get his life back on track.”

The arrest was the latest run-in with the law for the skateboard-riding stuntman, following multiple arrests in multiple states last year for which he was released on the condition that he stay sober and undergo alcohol and drug screening.
