British Gas offers customers vouchers worth up to £210 – check if you're eligible

British Gas is offering vouchers worth up to £210 to Britons who have a Blue Light Card, as well as a variety of discounts on energy-saving technology.

Blue Light Card members comprise those who work in emergency services, NHS, the social care sector and the armed forces, and it costs just £4.99 to register for two years.

A statement on the British Gas website reads: “Supporting Blue Light Card members is our way of thanking the people who are always there for us.

“We give Blue Light Card members extra rewards for choosing British Gas.”

Blue Light Card members who choose British Gas as their energy supplier are offered gift cards when switching to fixed tariffs.

Existing British Gas customers will receive a gift card when they change from a Standard Variable tariff to a fixed one.

A £60 gift card is awarded to those who choose British Gas for both electricity and gas, while a £30 gift card is awarded to those who choose British Gas for just one type of energy.

The available gift cards can be used at stores including John Lewis, Amazon, Tesco, Marks and Spencer, or Sainsbury’s.

Additionally, a £150 gift card is available to members who upgrade to a new A-rated energy-efficient boiler.

Members can also make the most of a 20 percent discount on Hive’s energy-saving technology, such as smart thermostats, radiator valves, light bulbs, and more.

People can access the deals and discounts through the Blue Light Card website or app. Members simply need to search for the British Gas promotions page and follow the instructions.

But this isn’t the only deal Blue Light Card members can take advantage of. Eligible cardholders have access to more than 17,500 discount deals and exclusive benefits, so it’s worth checking if you’re eligible to purchase a membership.
