The fire began on the roof of two cottages and has since spread to a third.
Two chimneys of cottages on the row of four have since collapsed.
Speaking to The Mirror a Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman said: “116 firefighters are on the scene.
“We were called at 16.17 this afternoon to The Barracks, Bransbury.
“Hampshire Police and the ambulance are also on the scene.
“The Red Cross have been requested to provide support for occupants.”
There are no reports of any casualties thus far.
According to the Hampshire Chronicle firefighters from Winchester, Eastleigh, Basingstoke, Overton, Whitchurch, Stockbridge, Sutton Scotney, Andover, St Mary’s, Ludgershall, Newbury and Rushmoor responded to the incident.
Police officers have closed Bransbury Lane whilst the firefighters continue their work.
On Twitter Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service posted: “100+ firefighters are tackling a fire involving multiple thatched cottages in Bransbury, near Winchester.
“Crews are expecting to be on scene for some time and are currently being supported by Hampshire Police and South Central Ambulance Service.
“A road closure has been put in place by Hampshire Police on Bransbury Lane.
“Emergency vehicles will be in the area throughout the night.”
