Boris MUST 'consider his position' as PM branded 'a joke' by angry MPs

Conservative MP Andrew Bowie stated that his party leader and Prime Minister Boris Johnson is a dead man walking whose position is in serious peril. He argued that Britons are desperate for a leader to guide them through these uncertain times as Mr Johnson no longer seems to fit the bill. Mr Bowie advised Mr Johnson to already begin to “consider his position”, pointing out however that whichever way the pendulum is swinging following Sue Gray’s investigation will determine his future.

But the Tory MP for West Aberdeenshire and Kincardine did not categorically rule out giving him a second chance if Ms Gray’s inquiry reveals that he is not guilty.

“Who knows?”, he told BBC Politics.

“I have been told by so many people what is going to be or what is not going to be in the Sue Gray report?

“The only person that knows of course what is going to be in there is Sue Gray so let’s wait for that to be published before we actually take a decision.

“I think the Prime Minister should be considering his position.

“But my position is that we need to wait and see what the facts were which is why we need to wait for the Sue Gray report to be published, so we can have all the facts in front of us before people take decisions.”

The last thing Britain need at a time when Omicron and the soaring costs of living have taken hold is a “governing party at war with itself” as these internal disputes don’t help the country’s cause.

He said: “He is in quite a lot of trouble and I don’t think that this is a place where we can be for much longer, there are so many issues facing the country right now.

Ms Champion doesn’t think the “dead duck” Prime Minister has any chance of staying as she accuses him of continually telling lies.

She called on the government to cut their ties with him and stop “chasing its tail”.

She said: “It’s terminal, absolute no debate about that.

“The man’s a joke, if his lips are moving, the country knows that he’s lying.

“But the thing that frustrates me most is, we have really big issues that I want a proper Leader to be dealing with.

“The costs of living, Ukraine, we could be going to war very soon!

“What is the government actually doing about these issues? Instead it’s chasing its tail trying to save a Prime Minister who is dead duck as far as I am concerned.”
