Whether you’re planning to host friends for summer barbeques or want a quiet place to soak up the sun, your garden should be your haven.
Director of Luxus Europe Matthew Look spoke to GB News about his top tips for making your outdoor space into “an idyllic summer hotspot”.
He recommended giving your old garden items a “new lease of life” with a fresh lick of paint or vanish.
“It can go a long way to breathing new life into tired, old furniture, or fences,” the pro said.
“It can also pay off to relocate items such as chairs and tables, plants and recreational equipment to give it a fresh feel.”
If you’re planning to freshen up your garden fence, then B&M’s paint offer has come at the perfect time.
You can add a splash of colour to your backyard with a bright shade that’s currently on sale.
One shopper shared the deal on a Facebook group dedicated to “Bargain Lovers”.
She revealed that she nabbed a tin of light blue Dulux paint for just £5.
The poster included a picture of the Dulux paint section at her local B&M.
All the other shades were still marked at £22.
To prove the deal wasn’t too good to be true, the customer also shared a picture of her receipt.
Facebook users shared their thoughts on the bargain in the comments section.
“Damn, I was only in B&M the other day, should have checked the paint,” wrote one person.
“I got a kitchen paint for £5 today too,” shared another enthusiastic shopper.
How to save money at B&M
Shoppers have saved hundreds of pounds a year by using B&M’s scanner app.
The scanner lets you see if an item’s price is cheaper than advertised on the shop floor label.
Products that are typically discounted are seasonal items and old stock that B&M is trying to shift.
The app is free to download off the B&M Stores mobile app via Google Play or the Apple App Store.
According to one ex-B&M manager, you’ll want to visit your local branch at 10am on a Wednesday too.
Here’s how you can join the B&M bargain hunt:
- Download the B&M app for free on any smartphone with an App Store or Google Play.
- Once you’ve installed it on your device, click on the option labelled “more” on the bottom, right-hand side of the app home page.
- You’ll then find an option that says “barcode scanner”. Click on this and you’ll open a camera screen.
- Use the camera to hover over the barcode of the product you wish to check.
- If the price comes up as lower, take it to the cash desk and it will automatically scan at the lower price.
- You don’t need to sign up to the B&M app to use the barcode scanner.
And B&M aren’t the only ones with affordable deals to spruce up your garden.
Argos has currently slashed the price of a five-star gadget to less than £100.
You can also grab a significantly discounted barbeque from Argos right now.
Aldi is also selling an budget-friendly item that will help keep your garden green all summer.
And a £2.99 Lidl buy can help to brighten up your outdoor space for the warm summer nights.
