Three people have been arrested for possession of an offensive weapon, with cops responding to reports of a stabbing and “acid attack”.

However no victim has yet been found, as officers turned out in force in an attempt to control the chaos.

A Section 60 – giving police officers stop and search powers – was in place until 7am this morning.

Footage of the funfair shows lines of officers forming a human barrier with dogs in tow.

Another video showed a handful of police vans lining what appear to be the streets surrounding the field.

In one video a helicopter, which appeared to be a police aircraft, could also be heard flying overhead.

One witness said:”Took the kids to Blackheath fun fair and it’s been shut down.

“Spoke to some people there who witnessed someone having acid thrown on them and set alight.

“We witnessed police being attacked too. Must be a thousand youngsters there.”

‘ACID ATTACK’

Labour MP for Greenwich and Woolwich Matthew Pennycook tweeted to say he was “aware of the large-scale disorder taking place on Circus Field, Blackheath”.

He added: “The police are deploying extra resource.

“Please avoid the area. If you believe your child is at the funfair or in the area, please ask them to return home immediately.”

The Royal Borough of Greenwich also tweeted, urging parents to keep their children safe.

“Following the disorder at Blackheath funfair we are asking all parents to make sure their children are nowhere near the area, for their own safety,” the tweet read.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: “Police are dealing with reports of antisocial behaviour and a number of assaults at Greenwich Park.

“A stabbing has also been reported; no victim has been found.
