Aston Villa have told UEFA they are free to use Villa Park for this season’s Champions League final between Man City and Chelsea, should Istanbul be unable to host the event. The occasion is current set to take place in the Turkish capital on May 29 but travel restrictions and the country’s ongoing battle against the coronavirus may cause complications further down the line, particularly when it comes to travelling fans.
According to Sky Sports, Villa have now told UEFA they are ready to step up and host the event which involves the two Premier League clubs.
