It’s been rumoured for weeks but now we now know exactly when Apple will reveal its all-new iPhone range. The US technology firm has just sent out invites to the world’s media with Tuesday, September 14 the date all fans need to pop in their diary.

That’s when we’ll get to see the future of the iPhone and it looks set to be another blockbuster keynote from Apple’s HQ in Cupertino.

The invite, which has just dropped into our inbox, reads “California Streaming. Join us for a special event broadcasting from Apple Park.”

And in a tweet Greg “Joz” Joswiak, Apple’s Senior Vice President, Worldwide Marketing added: “We’re California Streaming on September 14th. See you real soon.”

Of course, just like last year, this won’t be the usual people-packed showcase from the Steve Jobs theatre at Apple Park with Covid restrictions meaning things will be broadcast via a live stream.

All will be revealed next week but ahead of the launch, there has already been plenty of rumours and speculation about what could be coming to the new phones including a big upgrade to the screen.

Apple switched the standard iPhone to OLED technology last year and in 2021 it could be all about faster refresh rates. In fact, most experts believe that the iPhone 13 Pro models will get speedy 120Hz technology included.

This speedy screen has been available on the iPad Pro for a while and it would make sense for the iPhone to follow with a similar technology – something that will also make the entire experience feel faster and less stuttery.

Other changes could include a faster A15 processor which will not only improve the overall performance but also boost the battery life plus faster charging could be arriving via the firm’s MagSafe connector which launched alongside the iPhone 12 last year.

The new iPhone 13 range may not be the only products Apple reveals at its keynote with rumours also suggesting that an updated Apple Watch could also be the star of the show.

This upgraded tech timepiece could get a completely refreshed design along with a bigger screen and more health features.

We could also see the launch of a new MacBook Pro with Apple’s 2nd generation of processor tucked inside and there’s also rumours about a new iPad lineup including a rebooted Mini.

Express.co.uk will bring you all the news live from next week’s keynote so watch this space for full details.
