Emergency services rushed to the A1 near Stamford, Lincolnshire, on Sunday at around 1am. A blue VW Golf, a black BMW 520D and a red Land Rover Discovery had collided on the a rural section of the northbound carriageway.
Police have since confirmed three men, aged 34, 25 and 38, died of their injuries at scene.
A further two people were rushed to hospital where they remain with serious injuries, reports Cambridgeshire Live.
Cambridgeshire Police is now appealing for any witnesses or anyone with any information to come forward.
A spokesperson for Cambridgeshire Police said: “Three people have died following a three-vehicle crash near Stamford.
“The incident happened at just before 1am on Sunday morning (16 January) on the A1 Northbound near Wothorpe.
“The collision involved a blue VW Golf, a black BMW 520D and a red Land Rover Discovery.
“Three men aged 34, 25 and 38 died of their injuries at scene and two people were taken to hospital where they remain with serious injuries.
