’90 Day Fiancé’s Michael Ilesanmi fundraising to fight Angela Deem in court

“90 Day Fiancé” star Michael Ilesanmi is asking for financial help from fans after estranged wife Angela Deem’s annulment filing.

Since launching the GoFundMe account on Tuesday, which requested $25,000 to help with legal fees, the reality star has already exceeded that amount raising $27,690 within 48 hours.

“Hi I am Michael Ilesanmi from TLC’s TV show “90 Day Fiancé.” I have been put in a situation where I unfortunately have to ask for help,” he wrote on the fundraising site.

“Due to the recent legal filings by Angela against me I must seek legal advice. I have obtained an attorney but the fees are expensive. I have a legal battle to fight and that fight will be expensive. I am asking all my fans to help – whatever you can give I would deeply appreciate. I understand all of us are having hard times and I hate to ask others for money support but it seems like due to the legal actions brought against me I have to ask. Thank you all and God Bless.”

The TLC star also took to Instagram to ask his followers for financial help. “I could really use your help right now,” he wrote. “I’m facing some unexpected legal expenses, and any support would mean the world to me.”

In June, Deem filed for an annulment, claiming that her Nigerian born husband Ilesanmi scammed her for a green card. In court documents obtained by InTouchWeekly, Deem alleges that he “fraudulently induced her into a marriage for the purpose of gaining legal permanent resident status in the United States.”

She also accused Ilesanmi of being “engaged in a conspiracy with other Nigerian men to induce U.S. citizens into marriage for the purpose of gaining legal permanent resident status.”

But in a recent episode of “90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?” Deem hired a private investigator to dig into the situation only to find that there was no evidence of the 37-year-old immigrant defrauding, cheating, or being unethical in his intentions within the marriage.

Deem and Michael’s relationship has been featured on the TLC reality series since 2018. The couple got married in 2020 in Nigeria while waiting on his visa to be approved. When it was approved in December of 2023, Ilesanmi’s move to America was captured on “90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?” season 8.

In February of this year, Ilesanmi went missing and it was later found that he fled Deem’s home due to “fear of his life.”

NY Daily News has reached out to Deem’s team for comment but did not immediately hear back.
